It's all mainstream media!

Basic debate 101 trick. Fox calls any outlet but itself 'maintream' then defines mainstream as evil or incompetent.

Fox is on my cable TV along with all other news outlets and entertainment programming. On numbered stations side by side. They all get money from their advertisers to operate. Many of the advertisers are the same on the differing networks. They are all selling something. They are all 'mainstream media'. I'm not the media. You’re not the media. 'They' are all the media. The fact that Trumpists have fallen for this shows how really stupid or uneducated they are.

Fox always trumpets how good their ratings are. I'll let you in on a little secret. I worked in media for over 10 years. Listeners and watchers don't really care about ratings, but advertisers do! It has nothing to do with the accuracy of the reporting, it only has to do with how many products a show can sell. Get over it! Media is a business like any other business and they are 99.9% all 'mainstream'. They all sell mainstream products and services. Guess what? If they fail to sell the products that they advertise they are taken off the programming schedule of that network. If they were not mainstream they would not be on average easily accessible TV or radio. They would exist only on the darkweb or shortwave radio and be non-commercial.

So keep drinking the Kool-Aid but don't come crying to me when you piss your pants!
